Since the advent of PID controller, and its development is very rapid, and the application has become increasingly wide spread, especially in the use of the industrial control industry. Because of its many advantages, such as stability, the structure is relatively simple, the work is more reliable, and easy to adjust. With its wide range of applications, for more complex systems, the control performance can not meet the requirements. For the deficiencies of the conventional PID controller, fuzzy control and PID controller, fuzzy PID controller and FPGA, making the combination of hardware and software design, the PID controller performance is improved.This paper studies the use of FPGA fuzzy PID controller. The study is divided into tow parts, first parts of the PID controller FPGA:Design and implementation of FPGA configuration circuit; binary counter and register internal data to compare the design of the PWM module; in the PID algorithm string line method, parallel implementation of the method, hybrid method based on the use of parallel structure, called the multiplier and adder two modules, the programming of the hardware using the VHDL language and FPGA implementation of the final completion of the PID controller. The second part of the fuzzy PID controller FPGA implementation:First, the theory of fuzzy PID controller module division; use Quartus Ⅱ6.0development platform, the introduction of the IP core design idea of using VHDL fuzzification module, defuzzification module, the module of error and error variation, the membership function of the original store files module, simulation of each module, the entire module constitutes the fuzzy PID controller, timing simulation and analysis, to verify its feasibility.FPGA implementation of Fuzzy PID controller, the controller can improve the realiability, reduced development cycle, no peripherals circuit, the cost of the entire design has been reduced to a certain extent, has wide application value in the industry.
