With the development of sciences and technologies and, in particular, the advent of system engineering in recent years, we have become aware of what is critical for solving safety problems and developed the concept of "system safety" to replace traditional safety. System safety refers to the application of special technologies and management techniques for systematic and predictive identification of and control over hazards throughout the lifecycle of a particular engineering calculation or activity ranging from design, development, manufacturing and use to the end. It can be seen that system safety is characterized by being process-wide, and systematic, accident handling as well as the methods for hazard identification/analysis/control. By focusing on the period before a system is put into real-world operations, it makes the system design become acceptable in terms of safety in order to let the system normally run or assure safety.This paper demonstrates the significance of system safety engineering in safety management by analyzing internal and external factors such as ISOLA Group's safety history, existing safety problems and safety development. By analyzing characteristics of the safety system, it concludes that hazard identification/analysis/control are at the core of system safety. Among them, effective hazard analysis throughout the system's lifecycle is the primary thing, which main safety tasks rely on. This paper elaborates on system safety applications through sections including: Introduction, Research Results from Worldwide Scholars; Theoretical Analysis of System Safety Engineering; Safety Status Analysis of ISOLA Group; Analysis of Corporate Factors Affecting System Safety Engineering; and Corporate System Safety Engineering Applications.With characteristics of the Copper-Clad Laminate (CCL) industry in mind, this paper concludes that system safety engineering is an important part of corporate safety management, as it enables the identification, control and elimination of hazards in a system through expert knowledge and skills based on science and engineering principles and standards. It also allows for system safety prediction and assessment based on engineering design, safety principles and systematic analysis. This paper also believes that system safety engineering is not only a comprehensive kind of technologies but also a set of scientific management techniques. We are better able to provide companies with safety management services through such management techniques.
