After nearly20years development, Chinaunicom had finished the construction of GSM,CDMA, the combination of GSM&CDMA, WCDMA, the situation of our network graduallybecomes2network exist abreast: transmission network, which is mainly WDM&MSTP, anddigital network, which is mainly composed by router and switch. The previous MSTPtransmission network had play its role in Chinaunicom's Wireless and fixed network business,but with the development of the3G, IPTV etc which is related with IP, MSTP whose core isexchange of TDM pieces can not perform well as before; the digital network which is based onthe IP packet exchanging is under the great pressures both from telecom operation and wireresources when large-scale networking.In recent years, the face of ever-increasing bandwidth demand pressures, all operators arevery much looking forward to new transmission products to solve the current problemsencountered. China Unicom3G licenses, it is strongly promote the transformation of thetransmission network, in all large cities have established specialized teams. Through long-termobservation of the transmission network, analysis, research, and set up around the pilot packettransport technologies.In Guangzhou through the construction of the the PTN experimentalnetwork, PTN technology-specific characteristics of the flexible pipe, the advantages of highQoS and OAM management functions to solve the encountered by the local transmissionnetwork bandwidth is a serious shortage, this paper will focus on the PTNthe technicalcharacteristics of the technology, network planning, network structures, businessimplementation, network protection PTN technology test, analyze it more suitable than thetraditional SDH technology era of3G and future LTE era of the reason for the latter part of thewhole networktransformation provide valuable experience and technical support.This article is divided into eight chapters, in the first chapter first introduces thebackground of this thesis, said the source of meaning and content of the topic; the secondchapter is devoted to the pressure of SDH/MSTP network, the focus ring in University City,for exampleRoad, single-station bandwidth utilization analysis; the third chapter brieflydescribes the overall architecture of the PTN network, PTN, the overall architecture of the building description and network-building programs; the fourth chapter describes the businessof the PTN network; Chapter VPTN construction business operation, and operation of theSDH/MSTP network comparison, and analysis shows; Chapter6describes the PTN networknetwork protection; Chapter VII of the PTN technology prospects. Chapter VIII summarizesome of the author's own experience.
