RFID is the abbreviation of Radio Frequency Identification. The RIFD is a non-contact automatic identification technology by radio frequency communication. With the rapid development of the RIFD technology, the security of RIFD is becoming more and more important. The security of the information in the RFID system mostly depends on the encryption algorithm itself during the existing RFID security system, thus the RFID systems will be in danger once the algorithm principle is cracked. With definite pinciple and verification, the public encryption algorithm will improve the security of RFID system greatly. This paper introduces the structure of RFID, security problems and a security mechanism based on the AES and the ECC algorithm. The security mechanism include two-way authentication mechanism based on AES algorithm and message encryption mechanism using AES algorithm encrypting sensitive information and at the same time the ECC algorithm encrypt the key used before, thus prevent the attacker from stealing the information of the user in tags or readers and eavesdropping the communication process between the tag and the reader effectively, so it can improve the security of a RFID system. The AES algorithm used in the tag needs to be improved to reduce the circuit scale due to the limit of the tag circuit calculation ability and memory space that using the methods including cyclic structure, generating keys in real time and actualize the s-box based on composite domain algebra, while the AES algorithm in the reader use the look-up table method to actualize the s-box and pipeline method to generate keys. The KP operation of the ECC algorithm is implemented by using Montgomery method to improve the processing speed of the algorithm. In this paper, we use various kinds of optimization methods to expand the application of RFID security mechanism based on AES and ECC algorithm and use the FPGA platform to simulate the AES and ECC algorithm.
