Since the beginning of the20th century, space sounding has become one of the hot spots of the international scientific and technological activities. How access to get spatial information conveniently, fast and accurately has become the main problem to be solved. The parameters include:atmospheric composition, atmospheric wind field, wind speed, the electron concentration and temperature, ion concentration and temperature, particle collisions frequency. The variation of these parameters is also the content of the study. Detection tool is very important to the detection. New detection tools promote the development of space sounding and space physics.The main work of this paper is as follows:1,The features of are:wide bandwidth, low-frequency, long wavelength. For this reason, most of the antennas are huge today.Antenna need to be set up high. This makes the antenna generally must be fixed erected, each observation station can only be used to observe a fixed area, the range of observation is very limited actually. In order to solve this situation, this paper designed a miniaturized mobile HF antenna successfully. Compared with the traditional ionospheric vertical sounding, the antenna has a broadband impedance and pattern. It also has some other advantages such as:a smaller footprint, a better radiation performance, lower antenna height, and a smaller voltage standing wave ratio.2,ST radar antenna is a phased array antenna, is composed of multiple antennas. The paper obtained electrical parameters of a single Yagi antenna through the simulation, discussed the affect of changing the incentive phase of the phase array antenna. These works explains the working principle of the phased array antenna. Finally, run FEKO and when the simulation end we got the right pattern of ST radar antenna (which have considered about the mutual coupling compensation).
