Embedded video surveillance system is that integrates multimedia information technology,computer interactive technology,distributed communication technology and Real-time monitoring technology.With the development of the network technology,multimedia technology and integrated circuit technology, Embedded video surveillance system is to digitize,internetize,intelligentization and integration.TMS32ODM8168is the lates tembedded video system chip released by TexasInstrument.The research work in this paper is mainly about the design and implement of embedded video system based on TMS32ODM8168.Analysed DaVinci platform and dual-core processor to TMS320DM8168of hardware and software framework.At last,based on Tl's dual-core proeessor TMS320DM8168,intelligent video system is designed and developed.Common existing automatic exposure algorithms were analysed in the first.Taking both algorithm's efficiency and system's effieieney into consideration,a method of uniform partition with weight was proposed to caleulate current image's average brightness and a gradual approximation means with different adjusting step-size was put forward to control shutter and gain.Automatie white-balance algorithm used in this thesis was based on grey world assumPtion.Using SIP technology to create two logical transmission channels in a system1, to separate data channel and command channel to achieve a reliable control system for data transmission.In this video system,algorithms were realized based on Codec Engine.Discussed audio/video codecs processing.And,this thesis used multi-thread teehnology to design and develop video acquisition and preproeessing module,AE and AWB algorithm,video display module.After that,it introduces how to boot the TMS320DM8168Linux operating system.Atlast,through system integration and testing,Correctness and feasibility of AEWB were demonstrated in the DaVinei platform.The experimental results showed that AEWB algorithm could improve quality of images very well in the platform.
