Development Of An Embedded Real-time Video System Based On Davinci Technology

Due to its high efficient processor, special video processing subsystem, high integrated software, low-cost and high flexibility, DaVinci technology has extensive applications in digital video. As DaVinci technology fully meets real-time requirement for innovative digital video products, It may be predicted that DaVinci technology might be widely used in such fields as video security surveillance, IP set-top boxes, video conference system, portable media player and cameras.Based on DaVinci technology, the thesis designed a real-time video system employing a DM6437 processor, which consisted of a video capture module, a video output module, a network communication module, a DDR2 module and a EMIF module. Then real-time video acqusition, video signal synthing, H.264 encoding/decoding and video network communicating were realized successfully using DaVinci technology.
