In support of transmission rate up to1Gbps, recommendation G.9960, to which channel coding is a key technique for confirmation of error-free communication, is promising in providing household broadband service. In this paper, check matrice are selected from recommendation G.9960to help stimulate and analyse encoder and decoder algorithms for low-density parity-check code. The significance of this work lies in that massive algorithms are reviewed to throw some light on the design of low-density parity-check code codec. Meanwhile, it is meaningful to reference this paper for the analysis and design of node-wise message scheduling. This paper reviews low-density parity-check code encoder algorithms. Then, hard-decision and soft-decision decoder algorithms are brought into sight. In this work it is also pointed out that node-wise message updating algorithm and node-wise message scheduling constitute message passing algorithm. The development process of these two components is reviewed, respectively. Moreover, schedule sub-set and schedule passing are defined to comprise node-wise message scheduling. Node-wise message scheduling is categorized based on these two elements. It shows that the number of schedule sub-sets affects the through-put of low-density parity-check decoder, and schedule passing contributes to bit error rate performance of low-density parity-check decoder. In the end, simulation results on additive white guassian noise channel model are given.
