Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of information and communication technology, there is a tendency that medical equipment is more intelligent, informational and interconnected, which lay a foundation for the research of telemedical monitoring. As a new medical treatment, telemedical monitoring not only reduces the patients'round-trip times and the cost for staying in hospital, but also facilitates patients to communicate with the medical staff. The traditional telemedical monitoring system is too expensive and with low transmission rate for popularization, therefore in this thesis, a telemedical monitoring system based on embedded internet technology is implemented to solve this problem.The proposed system consists of monitoring terminal and center server, which are connected by the Internet. The implementation of the monitoring terminal and the embedded internet device is the research focus. The thesis is organized as follows:(1) After analysing the common ways to access the Internet, we proposes using ARM processor AT91SAM7X256 and embedded real time operating system RT_Thread as foundations of the monitoring terminal to access the Internet. This approach reduces the costs and difficulties in the development, and it also improves the stability and the communication speed.(2) The core of monitoring terminal hardware adopts AT91SAM7X256 on which it expands some functional modules, including Ethernet interface, RS232 serial port, storage device, man-machine interactive interface and power supply. It provides a foundation for the internet communication and physiological parameter acquisition.(3) For the software, the RT_Thread is ported to the monitoring terminal at first, and it provides some mechanisms for upper programming method like multi-thread, semaphore, mailbox and TCP/IP protocol stack. Secondly, the divice drivers and applications to complete all functions of the monitoring terminal are implemented with the focus on the Ethernet driver and TCP client. In the end, the monitoring softwares of the center server includeing TCP server and monitoring management modules are developed with LabVIEW. The software implements the communication with the monitoring terminal and the management of medical records and physiological parameters.It is shown in functional verification results that the telemedical monitoring system is stable and reliable in uploading the physiological parameters by the Internet, which achieves the aim of telemedical monitoring.
