Zigbee-based wireless sensor network has lots of performance advantages such as lower cost, high reliability, flexible dispatching etc. The design and implementation of a Zigbee-based bridge wireless vibration system was proposed in the papers following. And a feasible, complete solution was given out according to the bridge vibration monitoring requirements. This paper is as follows:Firstly, since bridge vibration signal is weak and with low frequency, a low-power, high-gain universal amplifier applies to that kind signal was designed, with its circuit performance being simulated with Hspice.Secondly, the second generation Zigbee chip CC2530+CC2591 were used as the system solution. The hardware circuit design and software driver debugging of the high-power sender node were accomplished, with the node's---communication distance over 600 meters; the collector node's hardware interface design, as well as corresponding wireless data receiving and serial port driver debugs were also done; and Zigbee 2007 protocol stack was successfully transplanted to complete the networking and communicating tests of sending and receiving node.Finally, visual programming tool Delphi7.0 was used on the PC's monitoring side to develop the upper computer monitoring software for real-time monitoring of bridge information. The background database and its tables'design, and each functional module's interface and implementation were completed. The code of SPCOMM's some crucial technologies like serial communication, database accessing, data's curve display, report generation and so on were described especially. The host computer with simple operation has perfect software functions, friendly interface, and is very practical.The running test showed that this system could achieve real-time monitoring and storing of the bridge vibration and environmental information, with many advantages such as lower cost, high reliability, free wiring, easily extensible, easy installation and maintenance etc.
