| According to the scheme of State Grid, one of the goals of project "SG186" is to establish an overall corporate information integration platform of "flowing vertically and integrating horizontally", and to realize the information flow and data sharing of corporations. Power information technology is to enter every application area of power system, and further extend from control level, operation level and management level to execution level, as a result many power corporations have established complicated information systems, though these systems have covered information in all directions, they also lead to many single "information isolations", which may impede the subsequent further applications like database establishment. Plant Information (PI) System is the core product of OSIsoft which is the world's leading provider of real-time data and events management software system, PI System is a commercial software application platform based on C/S, B/S structures. The article analyzes the structure of PI System and introduces typical application cases of PI System in every professional field of power corporations. |
