| The universities and colleges in China usually have many characteristics, such as multiple-target, loose-structure, less tie between departments etc. Thus, many application systems are often isolated from the others in development and application stages. Within the deepening of Informationization, there are more and more"Information Islands"between application systems. This phenomenon not only increases the costs of system maintenances, but also brings hidden danger because of the lacks in data synchronism. To eliminate the"Information Islands", this paper studies the integration methods of information application systems. It investigates the usage status quos of application systems in many universities. According to the integrated acquirements, it brings out a integration project based on data sharing. And it gives a minute description on the design and implementation of data sharing platform. Then the paper focuses on the results of two important questions in building this platform. One is how to choose the sharing data. The other is how to implement the data synchronization between isomeric databases. Finally, it uses Ontology analysis to help choosing the sharing data. And it uses ODI, a professional ETL tool, to communicate the sharing data between isomeric databases. The author also describes a real case. This case showed how a university built its data sharing platform to integrate application systems. With the analysis of this case, this issue discusses the effects of the platform's design. It also provides some advises in the improvement of this research. |
