At present, the professional Life Service channels of major broadcast stations in our country continue to mature, while the quality of the life service programs is rising. Many good TV programs, which aim at "getting close to life, servicing for commons", set "social education and entertainment" as the theme, and base upon the content of "providing life information, servicing for commons ", are developed. It is the fashionable and innovative formatting as well as the increasing rich content which make these programs to be focused, and pull these programs' audience rating to a new peak over the country in a short time. Since the features of this type of programs would narrow the scope of audience, these programs must be supported by scientific and accurate program planning if they want to get high ratings and stay alive in the severe screen competition.This article meticulously elaborates and discusses the overall planning process of life service programs from mainly the theoretical and the practical aspect. It also analyzes the importance of synchronization between the life service TV program planning and the commons life. In addition, the planning process of the program "Driving Around the World" in the economic life channel of Xiangyang television station is set as an example to demonstrate every step of the planning process of Life Service TV programs.Backgrounded by the serve media competition of digital age and television business, the first chapter of this article points out the importance and the necessity of the scheme of Life Service TV programs. Chapter II, combining communication theories, talks about the significance and principle of scheming the Life Service TV programs. Chapter III expounds the procedures of scheming these programs one by one. In the aspect of column location, it explains the content related to planning, including column type (attribute), audience, features, ratings analysis, etc; in the aspect of topic choosing, it includes the direction of topics macroscopically(specific range of materials, field, etc.), as well as the theme and content of the part microscopically; in the aspect of column structure and form, it mainly discusses the selection and integration of these programs in content and materials, as well as the expressive forms and methods of programs; in the aspect of allocation of resources, it considers how a variety of TV resources distributed reasonably, including human resource allocation and program allocation of funds. Chapter IV states the operational planning of Life Service TV programs, including the broadcast time, broadcast time bands, public propaganda, audience participation and the planning of new media using. Chapter VI combines experience and analysis mentioned above, takes the column named "Driving Around the World" from the economic life channel of Xiangyang television as an example, demonstrates the planning and operation strategy of Life Service TV programs.
