With the advancing reform and opening, people's living standards have been pervasively improved. More and more people started to pay more attention to health problems, but in China, every individual cannot get a professional doctor. The medical health inquiry and service can realize the communication through internet. When web2.0era comes, the streaming media applications have unprecedentedly developed. Compared to the streaming media technology and multimedia technology, in addition to the function that it can play some traditional multimedia files, it can also real-time broadcast, live broadcast, and broadcast incident reports, which requires more on real time information.Given China's aging population, due to the reason that children have overburden workload, more and more aged people have become widowed. When these aged people get sick at home, they desire a terminal device that can be user friendly. Thus, this team has developed U-Healthcare spector. This device is a portable embedded terminal which is connected with medical equipments. These medical equipments can get the life indicator information of the served patients. Through USB, the information is transmitted to the terminal which is connected to U-health website. In this way, the served life indicator information will be sent to U-health website. The doctors at U-health can instantaneously obtain the information will notice the related doctors and relatives to provide medical services to the patients.An important function of this terminal is to realize the one on one communication between the serviced patients and doctors. Since the serviced patients are mainly middle and aged people, it is unnecessary to communicate with them in text. Thus video transition is of significance in conveying the related information, which provides the stream media with great space to develop.In order to meet these needs, this article starts from stream media communication and proposed stream media communication system based on Red5technology. The related server and terminal have been designed and developed in accordance to the customs of the aged people. At the same time, the characteristics of stream media communication as well as the system design, major function and methodology will be introduced.The creative significances lie in:it utilizes flash to achieve the intercommunication between served patients and media. It uses RTMP as the protocol, and Red5as the stream media server.
