With the rapid development of science and technology in various fields, military investigative techniques become more and more high-tech and diversified. How to improve the military camouflage effects so that maximizing military strength, becoming a most important meaning of topic of the current military camouflage technology. However, the initial digital camouflage designs usually directly convert the normal camouflage pattern into broken-box pattern, it focuses on handling the color edge. The camouflage effect has been improved in this way, but because it did not reflect the target background color and texture information, the simulation effect is still not very ideal. Investigation skills are multidimensional and intelligent in today's modern war which requires efficient camouflage technology. It needs much more scientific camouflage pattern design ideas and methods.In order to solve the design problem of camouflage method before, Although combining the basic characteristics of digital camouflage and imitation, extracting the background color and texture, with help of computer image processing technology, the thesis get a new solution to reflect the background characteristics of plaque. The design methods are as follows. First, selecting and reading the typical target background image, changing the RGB color space to Lab color space and using K-algorithm to extract the background color information. Secondly, according to the detected distance to select digital-box size and generate digital pattern by the distribution characteristics of background image. Finally, using the extracted background main color to construct digital plaque and obtain the ultimate digital camouflage pattern.Experimental results show that, using this method to design digital camouflage pattern can adequately reproduce the target background color and texture feature information. It is efficient to reduce the probability of detection so as to achieve good camouflage effect.
