Design And Implementation Of Remote Multi-threaded PGM Based On IMS

IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is presented in Release 5 version of the third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP, 3rd Generation Partnership Project), in support of IP multimedia subsystem. In the evolutive process of mobile communications to all-IP network architecture, IMS, with its characteristics of independent capability of access , according to standard IP access and business control systems, making the terminal users based on common Internet protocols use different types of multimedia services possible. Base on IP Multimedia Subsystem , PGM (Presence Group Messaging) services using SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), XCAP (XML Configuration Access Protocol) and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) supplies Peer to Peer service to the terminal users, achieved the separation of business and control in the group management, status publish and subscribe, and message communications, which is the trends of future converged communications. This thesis researches the Design and Implementation of PGM services base on IMS.Firstly thesis introduces the research background and research significance of PGM service base on IMS, including the status of research abroad. While thesis will make the general plan and formulate for expand research and development. Secondly, according to the IMS network and business architecture, functional entities, this thesis will expound details of the SIP, XCAP and SOAP related content on the PGM service, and emphasize the application of protocol which the PGM service relate to. Thirdly, thesis will make all-around profound research on the specific design and implementation of PGM service, including the PGM core business concepts, business features, network structure, interface definitions, function description and the message application process. Attach most importance to group management, introduces the specific implementation of various modules and components.Fourthly, according to the system capability test of PGM group management, thesis will verify the capability target of group management on server environment, make analysis, evaluation and summary for test execution and test results.Fifthly, in the process of the design and implementation of PGM service, thesie makes a detailed analysis of key issues, including the research of optimize improvements in business server authentication process, the solutions to the problems of message concurrent in multi-threaded environment.Finally, thesis summarizes the success and production in the research of PGM service based on IMS, and made a prospect to service application.
