MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is workshop-oriented production management information systems, information transmission through the plant managers for the production of various types of information, enterprise planning and shop floor execution layer of the link. In an intensely competitive market environment of modern manufacturing, MES systems applications have become the mainstream for the workshop production management.In recent years, China's MES system construction to ensure the technical level have begun to focus on the use of project management approach to managing the project, and summarizes a lot of successful experience, but because no system, effective project management methods, costs led to emergence of many projects over budget, schedule delay and other serious problems.In this paper, extensive reading and reference a large number of project management on the basis of relevant literature, theory and case studies using a combination of research methods, project management from the perspective of the MES system to explore research projects. Papers to H's machine shop MES projects for the study to explore the MES system in the many varieties of small batch manufacturing companies design and implementation; combine the characteristics of H produced from the starting point of the practical problems, for how digital production and management proposed project needs; according to the demand function of the structure of the MES system proposed design, a detailed description of the various system modules, and project management to guide the use of the specific implementation of MES for detailed study. This will be the design and implementation of manufacturing enterprises MES has a certain reference.
