With the rapid development of network technology, today's network environment is to become more complicated, large-scale. The normal network environment, network development and stable operation of the current top priority. The network environment, monitoring, testing, analysis and alarms, is important to ensure stable operation of the network.This paper is the use of SNMP technology to develop products in line with network storage network management agent software. In the text by SMI, MIB database, SNMP standards and other aspects of SNMP protocol described in detail the structure, composition and application.The development of the network management agent software main function is to store the product after failure to send alarm information via SNMP management station informed; the same time be able to support different network environments and between the docking domains to meet the scalability, overload protection, high availability of long and stable operation and other non-functional requirements. The software is mainly divided into hardware alarm warning, RAID card alarm, alerting the operating system, backup software alarm in four parts. Main design idea is to software development through a modular way, sub-module of agent development. Analyzed in detail the software functional requirements, and the corresponding function for the detailed design. Described by the SNMP engine, completed the proxy core analysis. Follow-through agent and MIB library workflow analysis to improve the entire alarm agent software.Finally, in the previous design, based on the successful use of net-snmp network management tools to achieve the alarm agent software development.
