Microwave hybrid integrated circuit as advantages such as small volume, higher reliability, excellent performance stability and so on. It is widely used in military, navigation, mobile communication. ESD means the static electric discharge.The static electric discharge can make the microwave hybrid integrated circuit fatally damaged.So it is important to improve the ability of resist ESD damage of the microwave hybrid integrated circuit.At first, this article discusses the theory of the static electric discharge. The contents includes characteristics of the static electric discharge,the classification of ESD models and the mechanism of ESD damage. This article also discusses the fundamental conception and requirement of ESD design. We make a brief introduction of the microwave hybrid integrated circuit.A analysis of the component used in the ESD protected circuit has been made and then we advance some technique of ESD design according to the characteristics of the microwave hybrid integrated circuit.We select a few kind of typical circuits. Different schemes of the ESD protected circuits have been used according to result of ESD experiments.The effect of the ESD protected circuits has been verified by the ESD experiments. At last, this article summarizes the experience, analyses the problem and insufficient, and proposes thinkings and methods of improvement. |
