Digital Publishing On The Influence Of Chinese Library Journal

As the network technology and computer multimedia technology are developing at very fast speed, the information is displayed to the readers more plentifully. The wide use of network technology and portable equipments such as cell phones breaks the absolute monopoly of traditional papery media and seizes the market rapidly. Documents are served in digital and web-based forms now and the trend is impossible to stop. Digital publication, as a new mode of publishing, brings a great impact on the traditional mode of publishing and work in university libraries. Therefore, the runners of university library should change their views, seize the chance and accelerate the process of constructing the digitalized library. The runners should blend the traditional libraries and digital library to provide better service to the readers.This text discusses the following problems:(1) This paper summarizes the current situation of development and research of digital publication.At present, the digital publication develops rapidly. After the development of more than 10 years, the digital publication has developed several forms, including e-journal (CNKI, WANFANG DATA, VIP), e-book (apabi, du8, SSreader, Chinese online) etc.Recently, the digital publication develops rapidly. The new forms are changing with each passing day, including e-books, digital journal and mini-blog etc. No matter how to evaluate them, from the perspective of media or function, they are not only digital text and pictures. This change requires the further investigation of the digital publication.(2) This paper illustrates the digital publications'influence on the marketing of journals, along with compares and analyzes the differences between digital publication and traditional journals.According to this paper, the e-journals fall into three types: the electronic issue of the paper journals; networked e-journals; and CD e-journals. This paper introduces the concept of the marketing of digital publications and database as well as the charging way of digital journals and database.This paper also analyzes the relations between e-journals and traditional journals. After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of e-journals and paper journals respectively, it is found that the paper journals are still playing an irreplaceable role. The e-journals and paper journals have complementary advantages as the e-journals are applying electronic technologies.(3)This paper describes the influence of digital publication on periodical work and puts forward some suggestions. This paper analyzes the influence on selecting and purchasing, organizing resources and serving. The runners should face the challenges, seize the opportunity and constantly bring forth new ideas. In this way, they can explore the new management mode of journals, expand the serving field, upgrade the service levels and meet the readers'needs. Consequently, the journal literature will be bound to boom.
