The TV Production and Broadcast Network System not only realize the goal of process the radio and video material inline but also ensure the accuracy, security and accuracy of the TV program. The performance of the network storage in the TV Production and Broadcast Network System must be enhanced at nowadays that the High Definition TV program be involved in. The High Definition TV program uses higher resolution and code stream which make the scale of the TV program greater, so the bandwidth of the TV Production and Broadcast equipment must be wider. Hence the problems of the network storage in the TV Production and Broadcast Network System are more and more difficult.In order to resolve numerous problems of the network storage and make the TV Production and Broadcast Network System working efficient and steady, a feasible optimization design for the performance of the network storage in the TV Production and Broadcast Network System is essential.This paper discusses the design and optimization for the network storage in the TV Production and Broadcast Network by degrees. In the stage of foundation design, through study the process of making the TV program and the timeliness and universality of the television business, not only analysis the workload for every program in a channel, but also discuss the different characteristics of some network storage architectures such as NAS,FC-SAN,IP-SAN, then compare the hardware of the network storage such as RAID and network switches and select the radio and video compressed format, finally design a network storage for the TV Production and Broadcast Network System. In the stage of optimization design, consider the characteristic of the television business and combine the innovative technologies, upgrade and improvement the TV Production and Broadcast Network System, finally some new technologies such as data compression be involved in the optimization design and complete the optimization.
