Educational game software is not only one of the products of the integration of education and game, but also an important learning resource of modern education. Current educational game software designed mainly cognitive theory, flow theory, role theory and other as the theoretical basis, the starting point for research is how to balance their educational and entertaining, learner's motivation between in learning and in the game is not did a detailed analysis, how design can add more learning motivation and to make the learner's motivation in the game into the real motives about learn is ignored, which is unfavorable for learners to improving innovation, developing emotional and generally improving comprehensive quality. As a result, it is necessary to develop and design educational game software based on learning-motivation theory. As learning-motivation are closely connected with learning effect and creativity development, that is, if designer fully understand the various factors of the motivation of learners, they will be able to learn in a more efficient way and develop creativity better. Basing on above thinking, the author attempts to conduct in-depth research in design and implement educational game software based on learning-motivation theory.First of all, from the current existing problems in the educational game software, design of educational game software and the theory of motivation are investigated and analyses in-depth, learning-motivation and the concept of educational game software-related and its theoretical basis are described, strengthen motivation theory, achievement motivation theory, self-efficacy theory, hierarchy of needs theory of motivation theories are described in detail, all of thesis laid the foundation for the designing and development of educational game software based on learning-motivation theory.Second, an educational game software design flowchart based on motivation theory is created, including: needs analysis, learner analysis, instructional analysis, game design, and other content design, planning and scheduling, case implementation, testing, modification and maintenance, game design is divided into objective design, scenario creation, rule design, learner control design, user interaction design, help and feedback design. On this phase, creating and sustaining learner motivation factors of the educational game software were analyzed in detail, the design of incentive motivation strategy are given, and each module of game design are designed in detail. Finally, the article gives a detailed process of development by application example of combining with basic development technology based on the design methods of educational game software based on theory. And the feasibility and effectiveness of the design and development of educational game software based on learning-motivation are proved; it can promote more learners participation in learning.The research in this paper provides a new approach for designing educational game software, which will promote the combination of education and games, to achieve the purpose of entertaining, and play a great role in improving learners'learning effects and cultivating their high-end capabilities and developing emotional.
