"HYSY201"is the first deep water pipelaying vessel in the world with pipelaying capacity of 3000 meters underwater,4,000-ton lift capability and Electric Propulsion DP-3 system. Research Group I belong develop a visual simulation training system for simulating pipelaying and lifting process of "HYSY201". In this paper, simulating the navigation of the ship without load in different sea conditions. Also developing HCI(Human-Computer Interface), network module, database module. And last, integrating and debuging the emulation software system.The two operations that pipe laying and lifting are very complex. Outlining main equipment and operation processes about them.Describing deep water pipelaying visual simulation system structure form software developing and hardware layer. Software includes 3D model module, database module, HCI and dynamics simulating part. Hardware layer contains DP control system, simulating console, visual simulationg server. And narrating data stream connecting of hardware layer and core software entrails module.It's not just a simple visual simulation, but a system with dynamics. So Besides using inner dynamics module of simulation developing software, also building three mathematical model to extend ocean dynamics function. Discussing the method of using wave spectrum to build random wave model, simulating the movement of the ship in different sea condition and free navigation. Summarizing traditional pipelaying and crane kinetic theory, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of them and programing ourself mathematical model. The function of the HCI is show the data panel and simulation view. The background process encapsulate EonX controls and integrate mathematical model, network module, database module. EonX is a kind of COM(Component Object Model).The front office functions of HCI is receiving the input data, showing the output data and visual view while encapsulating EonX controls a kind of COM, integrating mathematical model and network module in background process. It's a core module of visual simulation system. Introducing the design, exploitation of the interface panel. Giving an example of representative child module development. Visual simulation training system is a semi-physical simulation system. The network module manage the function of data stream exchanging. Designing the packet model and connecting the with the help of UDP protocol. Analysing the data exchange between EonX controls and parent software.At last, summarizing some difficulty when integrating, debuging and testing the system. Giving some of advice to improve architecture and optimize performance of the system.
