Design Of Field Controller Based On Embedded System With Wireless Network

As the development of embedded system technology, the embedded system has been widely used in consumption, electrics, research, military and medical treatment domain, and it keeps expanding. Embedded system is a software-hardware combined system. In hardware aspect, ARM based system is widely adopted, and it is promising; while in software aspect, it is versatile with different characteristics. Embedded Linux operation system is suitable for ARM based hardware platform with MMU. Network technology has become an indispensable of social development, and embedded system integrated with network is the development trend. Based on the above background, this paper design a embedded field controller with wireless network.The embedded field controller with wireless network designed in this paper adopts ARM9 S3C2440 processor as core of the hardware platform, and Linux operation system as software platform of the controller. For the need of field controller, this paper design hardware include analog input/output circuit, USB interface circuit, LCD interface circuit and serial port circuit. In software aspect, Linux operation system is adopted to research system bootstrap program transplant, and the installation, compiling, configuration, and transplant of the core of Linux system and system root file are realized. ADC equipment and driver program for analog output equipment are also developed, and the USB wireless network card transplant and Qtopia's transplant to field controller are also completed. Finally, in Qtopia Embedded picture development environment, the program for controller application interface are designed and the C++ program for A/D, D/A and wireless network are all developed. This paper realize the software and hardware design for a embedded system with wireless network. In testing, the embedded field controller with wireless network show great stability and realize the basic functions.
