In order to keep the safety of the family and prevent burglary rob steal and kill incidents,we must have a smart home security alarm system to fit to Chinese native conditions, which brings us a real new concept of security.The author has adopted the most advanced virtual instrument technology-LabView2010,consulted the existing home alarm system and developed a functional, low-cost home intelligent alarm system.The system uses the structure of client-side(C)/ Server-side(S). The client-side(C) consists of the following four main functional modules:sleep or leave module, Emergency alarm module,SOS module and anti-cheat module.These four functional modules can be set and cleared by a mini wireless remote controller. In emergency case,the remote controller might be not available , watchwords could be used to alarm by the intelligent alarm system.A preset voice will cause the system to send an alarm command to the host.When the client-side of the home intelligent alarm system alarms, the corresponding functional modules sends the re-sampling, amplifying and wavelet denoising data of collected images and sounds as well as user's specific information to the server-side(S) by FTP network technology.That can reduce the time of alarms and the passivity of treating with alarms.The server-side(S) mainly refers to 110 alarm center, community security center, users'office, and users'mobile phones and so on. It scans the client-side(C) and will play the alarm music, flash the alarm light immediately and display the users'specific information if it receives an alarm from the client-side(C). At the same time, the server-side uses DataSocket to read and save the remote data.The home intelligent alarm system makes full use of the new technology of the LabView by which some hardware functions can be performed with LabView software, which results in good performance and low cost. For example, by programming skills using LabView, we use one-way remote controllers instead of two-way remote controllers and voice prompts to indicator light, The cost of former is only tenth of that of latter.As the price of normal open detector is five to six times to normal closed detector, we replace the normal open detector to the normal closed detector with software virtual pulse edge. Also, Owing to the support of LabView platform, We can use the Imaqdx's USB interface camera and USB interface infrared camera to replace the expensive BNC camera.Moreover, the USB interface infrared camera meets the plug and play standard, and it needs no additional drivers, no capture card, even easy to use. At the same time the development cycle of the software based on LabVIEW platform is shortened.
