The Design Of Intelligent Parking Management System Based On GSM

With growth in the living standard, especially in material life, private cars have been the most important vehicle in people's daily life. However, parking becomes more and more difficult with the increasing of vehicle and population number. Although parking guidance system has appeared, there are still some problems, for example, information lagging and people can't reserve carport. Besides, there are so many complicate procedure including taking cards, reading cards, paying money, bring parking a lot of troubles. There are two reasons for the situation: for one thing, the number of vehicles is increasing, for another, parking system is not yet perfect.In order to solve the problem, the paper develop a kind of intelligent parking management system based on GSM communication module TC35i, on the basis of existed system according to market demand. The system configuration include computer system, SCM, TC35i communication system, carport inductor, entrance infrared inductor, automatic gateway, vehicle inductor. Owner can park and pay the money according to send a short message, there is no complicate procedure compared to old system. Therefore, it realizes unattended operation and provides reserving carport and paying bills automatically service to drivers, so as to realize the function of intelligent parking.We need to tackle the problem of how to use TC35i to send and receive short message in order to realize the function of the communication between GSM module TC35i and SCM. The paper introduces the qualification and hardware composition about TC35i first. Then we connect the designed module and computer after fulfilling designing of hardware and software about peripheral circuit of TC35i module. According to writing AT command, we judge whether the module is working or not. We use writing program to change PC command into SCM command. After the implement of software's compilation and the debugging work, communication between SCM and TC35i is succeed.In order to control vehicles effective as well as properly, and make sure gateway work normally, the paper realizes the function of communication between SCM and gateway system so as to ensure gateway open properly. We install infrared transmitter-receiver set to guarantee opening gateway when receiving switching on message and senses cars at the same time.In the entrance of parking place, there are a screen to show how many empty carport remains so that we can inquire it. Entrance gateway open once, the amount of empty carport will decrease one, similarly to exit gateway. Inductor installed in carport can make drivers find an empty place more easily. When cars reach entrance, monitoring center will reply the information about parking place, besides, drivers can use short message to inquire the information.
