With the rapid development of technology, machinery manufacturing industry has made great progress in the development, more and more complicated device structure and the long-term operation at high speed, high temperature, overload and other harsh conditions, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology is becoming increasingly important. In recent years embedded technology develops rapidly, and embedded system technology integration into the new generation of intelligent instruments will become the core technology trends.With the research project basing on the actual needs of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis on Group of units scattered pumps of Petrochemical enterprises, patrol and diagnostic equipment is designed.It includes hardware of ARM S3C2440A core and operating system of Windows CE 5.0.This paper describes software platform design of the patrol and diagnostic equipment,and introduces each section of the whole development process. Firstly, it introduces the relevant changes of core aspect BSP, including changing UART asynchronous serial interface driver module, modifying parts of the EBOOT code to add EBOOT USB download function, modifying the LCD drivers to comply with the requirements of the instrument LCD display, modifying STEPLDR part Code to add the boot image display.Secondly, it introduces the Windows CE operating system migration methods, and adds the English interface on the system features to achieve the conversion of the English-Chinese interface, and modifys the registry part to achieve HIVE registry saving to improve the system's utility.Thirdly, it introduces design of sleep wake-up mechanism basing on embedded low-power devices design,the implementation process of sleep wake-up,and two approaches:external interrupt wake-up and RTC interrupt wake-up.Finally, it elaborates stream interface driver mode and interrupts mechanism,and introduces the temperature measurement driver based on IIC bus, power monitoring driver and matrix keyboard driver and application.By test and feedback,the software platform which this paper designed has better stability and availability, patrol and diagnostic equipments based on this software platform will soon puts into small batch production and uses on field.
