Finance is a very common term in economics. However, when it was related with China's TV media, it has a specialty. China's TV industry was born in 1958. And with the influence of a planned economy and the political characteristics, China's TV industry has been completely seperated with the word"capital". With China's openning-up policy and some other policies, China's media is facing a double-grim situation, that is the internal pressure and the external pressure. The internal pressure usually comes from the challenges of traditional media and the Internet competition. After China's entry into the WTO, the opening-up policies inevitably leads the Chinese media to a grim situation in which some foreign media giants expand their business to China, the garden of Eden of media. Moreover, the Chinese media, whether from scale or management do not possess the ability to compete with those foreign media giants, which acts as the external pressure of the Chinese media.In 1996,"In the past, our media is only about propaganda. However, in the present, news media is not only about propaganda, but also management with the influence of the market-directed economy."Said Jiang Zemin when he inspected People's Daily. Jiang's word indicates a bright direction of the Chinese media development. With the influence of such a complex situation, the Chinese media industry is requiring a great development, the only feasible method is to reform the capital operation, and the most effective way of reforming the capital operation is financing. The Radio and TV Bureau of Hunan Province made a reform of the capital operation on Hunan TV, making it changed from ordinary to extraordinary, and now an example of the success of the capital reform. The purpose of the thesis is to design a feasible strategy of TV financing in order to solve the financial problems of the Chinese media and to develop quicker and better through the research on financing of Hunan TV station.The thesis poses the research question, analyzes it and solves it finally. With Hunan TV station as the research background, the the economics theory as the research method, readers can get an understanding of financing problems of the Chinese media in the perspective of economics.Based on this idea, the author refers to a large number of economics works, and eventually developes a feasible TV media financing strategy with a double angle to the research question, communication and economics, which I think where the research meaning lies.
