The Study On The Construction Of IC Physical Space In Academic Library

The rising of information common is under the background of information sharing ideas and open access movement. As a new service model, its collection resources, service and space to make a integration for library, it needs to carry out the new service model in a suitable carrier and the space effectively. Only by doing so, can the characteristics as well as the meaning of the modern library be realized, meanwhile, the quality can be improved. The construction of IC entity space is a very important step in the whole process of establishing information common, therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the entity space of library, in order to make it better in reflecting the IC's characteristics and function.According to the concept of information common and the goal of construction, this paper is about the discussion of the construction of IC entity space. In the first part, the discussion is mainly about the construction background of information common and the significance of the present research. And also, the current situation of information common, meanwhile, indicates the necessity of the construction of information common. In the second part of the paper, some related theory with regards to information common will be discussed, including the connotations, features, structure and function of the information common, etc. The third part, as the main section of the present study, emphasized the utilization mode of the library traditional space, and the layout as well as the physical Spaces usage under the information common environment in library. In addition, according to the characteristics of university library, the principles and the objectives of the construction of the IC entity space should follow are also discussed. Finally, combining the current resources and services of university library, and the habit as well as the characteristics of readers, some problems in terms of the construction of information common were discussed.The fourth part is mainly about evaluation of IC entity space in their using process.
