Coal face is the most important working environment in coal mining, with the development of large-scale and mechanical coal mining, the quantity of dust is increasing constantly. The damage of a great deal dust is very seriously, it can bring the mine worker with occupational diseases, and also be a hidden danger of accident in the mine. Now the best way of reducing the dust concentration is spray-dust, so the spray-dust effect is an important factor of safety examination in production. The design of colliery spray-dust control system based on power line communication can regulate spray mode according to the working situation of coal mining machine and hydraulic support, uses less water and works well. The control system takes ATMEGA88 as the main controller, which is a high performance and low power AVR 8-bit microcontroller, and has an advanced RISC architecture, it realizes the auto control and intelligent of the control system. As a new way of communication, the power line communication has been developed very quickly in recent years, especially in the auto-metering system. In this design of system, the communication between system controllers uses the technology of power line communication. The communication data line can be wired easily and the cost can be reduced because the power line communication uses the power line as data line. In the working environment of coal mining, the system also has a function of light, which uses the fourth source of light, the LED light. LED lamp uses less power, has a longer life and a highly luminous, which is getting more and more used in mine, improves the light environment in mine. The design of colliery spray-dust control system based on power line communication can reduce the dust concentration and improve the environment effectively in mine, ensure the production safety.
