Visible light communication(VLC)is a new technology of the communication using LED as the transmitter,and the photodetector(PD)is used as the receiver.VLC is be appreciated by the telecommunication industry because of the advantages including high communicaiton speed,green enviromental protection and low energy efficiency.Power line communication(PLC)achieve the purpose of information transmission by the power line,and there is power to be able to communicate,which is a unique advantage compared with other communication.However,VLC using as the indoor "last mile" must solve the problem of the backbone.Power line can play a crucial role in the indoor power transmission network and transmitting data for the VLC as well.The natural integration of PLC and VLC makes the indoor communication simpler and more econmical,but all these are based on the studies of the channel of the integerated system.In view of the above problems,this paper studies the channel of the indoor integrated PLC and VLC system.The main work is as follows:1.As the channel of the indoor integrated PLC and VLC system,a channel reference model of the integrated system is proposed.An analytical model is obtained by the cascade of PLC channel,VLC channel and LED equivalent channel in frequency domain(1-30MHz).Then the parameters of the analytical model are fitted based on the construction and measurements.Futhermore,the reference model of the indoor integrated system is achieved.In order to show the reference model can fit the real channel of the indoor integrated system well,numerous simulations are carried out.The simulation results verify the correctness of the proposed reference model.2.As the time-varying of the indoor integrated channel due to the changing impendence of the power line networks,the random channel generator of the indoor integrated PLC and VLC is studied.The parameters(attenuation coefficient,path number,the length of the path and channel delay)in the analtical model are statistically modeled according to the proposed channel model.Then,the statistical distrubution of the established parametric model is given combined with a large number of actual measurements and fitting results.In order to illustrate the correctness and practicability of the proposed random channel generator,the verification methods like constellation mapping,Euclidean distance and channel capacity are used to verify it.The simulation results show the random channel generator can describe the real channel well.3.For the lack of the proprietary chip of the integrated PLC and VLC system currently,the novel design scheme of the integrated system is proposed based on the PLC chipsets combining with studies of the integrated channel.In order to show the effectiveness of the design,the integrated PLC and VLC sysetm is built and simulated.The results indicate the feasibility of the design based on PLC chipsets.Furthermore,the performance of the design scheme based on PLC chipsets is optimized by the isolator and pre-equalizer,and the simulation shows the effictiveness of the isolator and the pre-equalizer.
