With the rapid development of electronic technology, wireless communication and low power embedded technology, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has been utilized extensive. It is comprised of numerous micro-sensor nodes integrated with various functional modules which are deployed in the target area. All the nodes make up a network system, which is used for monitoring, sensing and collecting various information of environment such as temperature, humidity and so on, by wireless communication. Then the system processes the information and transfers it to users. Normally the sensor networks is comprised of sensor nodes and sink nodes. Most wireless sensor networks using one sink node, but there are some problems in this type of networks, such as the low reliability, the lack of balance of energy consume and so on. The multi-sink node network can solve these problems. However, the application of multi-sink sensor networks is still in the stage of trying to apply, and the application field is still limited. Moreover, Multi-sink sensor networks is hard to be used by ordinary consumers, which limits its development. In this paper, I analysis and improve the communication protocol stack of TinyOS operating system, in order to design a new type of communication protocol stack, called Multiple Sink Temporary Access Protocol Stack (MSTAPS). The main innovation of this paper are the following:1. Implement multiple sink (such as mobile phones, etc.) access to a detection zone by designing relevant module, and bring ordinary users more convenient access to wireless sensor networks.2. Through the modification and design of the routing protocol, control transmit range of the sink node in wireless sensor networks, avoid traverse all nodes, reduce communication energy, and extend the network lifetime.3. Design a dynamic routing table, so as to effectively control the number of sink nodes which access to the networks and the time that the sink nodes access wireless sensor networks.I use MicaZ node platforms and related equipment in the simulation. The results show that this protocol stack achieves the desired result, a mobile sink temporary get access to the wireless sensor networks.
