Analysis Of The Brain Drain Of Television Host In China

Television Host is core power of competitiveness in the field of media. The phenomenon of brain drain has attracted the attention from academic in recent years which also has potentiality to be explored into new research topics. This paper aims to find a theory to explain the internal mechanism of discontinuation in China's television host career and explore a sustainable way of development which is suitable for host under current Chinese society and media environment.This paper proposes that through the design and establishment of career development channel for front-line professional talents and further promotion of the reform of "Commission" system, the view of "Talent" of the managers for Media will be changed which helps to stabilize the television host team. Meanwhile, Building correct viewing or paying real attention on the value of the television host and the continuous standing out television host with outstanding talent depend on the constant reform and innovation of China's television media management system. This is a difficult and meaningful work which contributes to sustainable development of television host industry that requires reform in our culture system.In this paper, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are employed, combined with first-hand domestic and oversea interviews. It is consisted of seven parts of discussion. Part one focuses on issues related to academic research points on this topic and the author's ideas and methodology of this study; Part two describes the scope and defines perspective of research; Part three provides practical examples to demonstrate common phenomenon in television host industry. Part four analyses explicit reason of this phenomenon; Part five gives further analysis in implicit and underlying causes of this phenomenon. Part six discusses possible strategies of solving this problem. Part seven concludes.
