With the high-speed development of digital information technology in modern, embedded technology become more widely. In communications, control, data acquisition, monitoring and other fields, the needs of embedded systems are also increasingly. The product development of embedded systems is more closely with people's lives. Embedded systems is in large quantities, variety, but in small size, low power consumption, and embedded operating systems can be customized in kernel and cutting, and meet the needs of the system. Linux is open source and free, further promoting its promotion, more and more technical staff maintain and improve it, its version is escalating. The development of video-device driver and data collection technologies based on Linux continues to develop.In this paper, an ARM board loading the Linux system develops an interface device, which can support multiple cameras and ordinary liquid crystal display. The aim is to make full use of existing resources, to achieve device interoperability. Because it is Linux system, you must research the USB camera device driver based on Linux and develop generic device driver, in another, it is the development of VGA interface, which to meet the ARM board to drive the LCD screen.First of all, this paper introduces the overall system design, gives the design of the system module interface circuit and operating system structure; and secondly, it introduces the basis of USB technology and the basic principles of camera, analyses the technology framework and the development process of camera driver development, applies the development instance of USB driver under the Linux, recompiles the USB generic camera driver for this system; once again, to complete the implementation of the interface of VGA, the S3C2440 based on the Linux does not support VGA data interface, but there is a LCD controller inside, it can transform the LCD scan interface into VGA interface, to achieve the S3C2440 on VGA devices; finally, the Linux system will be downloaded to the ARM board, and loads USB generic camera driver to the ARM board, realizes image display, and makes the printed circuit board.
