With the rapid development of the field of polymer materials, the application of polymer materials becomes more and more widespread and involves all walks of life its quality will directly affect the quality of the product made by these industries, the development of surface impurities, testing equipment can real-time mark on , process and display the tiny images, the development also will be important to the classification of materials and the monitoring of quality of the materials, in addition, as the rapid development of electronic technology and computer technology, and the close combination of polymer materials testing equipment and electronics, so that the polymer testing equipment has been imprved greatly in the accuracy of detection, performance and economic value .In this thesis, polymer film materials as the object to be detected, polymer film defects were obtained by high speed linear CCD electronic camera and the polymer film defects signal were collected and transferred by LVPCI-DC data acquisition card.At last, the defect signals were analyzed and processed by computer.Thereby, the polymer film defects information were figured out and displayed on time.The characteristic of the proportion of impurities in polymer is very small and the proportion of non-significant data is very large, so image processing algorithm is used in the PC. A large quantities of impurities image digital signal is transported to computer throgh hardware platform,by using a floating threshold and the data register cache, the massive image data is real-time processed. And the number of impurities,the size of impurities , and location information all can be real-time displayed, the image of impurities also can be accurately restored. This method improved the rate of detection and reduce the usage of hardware.Finally, the experiment of detection of impurities in the polymer materials shows the validity of impurity measuring instrument, in this thesis, the development of the polymer impurity measuring instrument based on linear CCD can100% detect impurities in range of 50μm ~70μm, the microscopic image that be real-time restored is consistent with the actual impurities in size and location .
