Polymer materials are emerging as an important material in integrated optics field. Compared with inorganic materials, the polymer materials can achieve low cost devices and the fabrication process could be simplified by nano-imprint. The research of polymer materials have attracted a lot of attention. We have developed a kind of polymer called Allyl-FPPEs. The films are prepared and the optical properties of the polymer are investigated. The optical properties of Allyl-FPPEs, including refractive index, birefringence, thermal-optical coefficient and optical loss, are measured and characterized. It is shown that Allyl-FPPEs is a promising photonic polymer material due to its fine optical performance.Another kind of polymer called PSQ is also developed. The optical properties of the polymer are introduced. A simple, low cost fabrication technology based on nano-imprint technology is developed..The experimental results show that this materials PSQ-Ls is compatible with this imprint process.A measurement setup for measuring the polymer waveguides is established. The equipments for measurement, like lensed fiber, polarization controller, optic linear stage, lens, prism, are finely selected. Nice transmission spectrum of polymer PSQ-L ring resonators are obtained. |
