Since the world has entered the new century, with the advent of an aging society, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have become an important factor in the threat to human life, which promote the strong market demand for the type of ECG equipment. However, traditional equipments were limited by the cable. They are difficult to use, because of the high power consumption, high cost. Combined with the rapid development of the wireless sensor technology, a wireless ECG signal acquisition system is developed in this dissertation. Zigbee wireless communication technology is used in this system, its low speed transmission, low power consumption, farther communication distance, and the simple protocol stack is easier to develop, giving full play to the advantages of wireless data transmission.The design of wireless ECG signal acquisition system follows Zigbee communication protocol. The system uses the SPCE061A MCU which is made by Taiwan SUNPLUS. We build the ECG signal pick-up circuit and the signal disposal circuit .The core chip of the wireless module is UZ2400 which is made by UBEC. The whole system is divided into two main parts: one is data acquisition and transmission, the other is receiving data. The MCU mainly completes signal acquisition, data processing, protocol data of packaging, the receiving data to PC, and other functions. Wireless communication module is in charge of data transceiver, the realization of the control function and so on. In the ECG data processing part, combining the amplitude of ECG data most time of little change except peaks and troughs, the differential algorithm is used to data compression which realizes the single-chip microcomputer data compression, thereby reducing the communication data quantity significantly. The software of the system is written in assembly language and C language which raising the simplicity of the system code effectively. The interface between PC and human is written in VC++.
