In recent years, condition monitoring technology has been promoted rapidly in the petrochemical and power industry. It greatly improves the stability of the equipment and has effectively promoted the development of condition monitoring maintenance technology. Signal acquisition system works at the front part of the condition monitoring system and its accuracy and reliability directly affects the performance of the entire system. Therefore, it is necessary to study on the signal acquisition technology.This topic discusses the signal acquisition system's overall framework and processing logic. And it has completed the development of the data acquisition system for rotating machinery, reciprocating machinery, wind turbine and pump. The system uses the object-oriented technology to classify the various functions and abstracts the similar function modules. By the use of Windows event mechanism, it achieves parallel processing for signal acquisition, data processing and transmission. Based on the previous research, the article studies some key technologies for signal acquisition system and has obtained some results. In signal acquisition, some technologies are added into the system, such as triggered acquisition, full period re-sampling, correction of sampling frequency and virtual sampling frequency. In data processing, the system not only supports for normal data and Start-Up-and-Down data processing, but also extends the function of virtual channel processing and phase compensation. In data transmission, the system can send normal data, Start-Up-and-Down data and system status. It can preserve Lost-Net data and send it when the communication problem is resolved. Condition monitoring system has been successfully extended to the petrochemical, refining, offshore oil drilling platforms and wind farms. It has proved that the signal acquisition system has good accuracy and reliability.
