With the development of our national economy and the improvement of people's livingstandard, the transportation capacity rises steadily year after year. The passenger flows ofsome peak time are relative higher than normal condition. The arrangement of some stationresources is not reasonable, especially the allocation of ticket resources. If there are moreticket windows than passengers' demand, then resources of railway station will not be fullyused. If there are not enough windows for passengers, they will feel inconvenient to buy aticket especially during the peak time. And now "buy a ticket" has already become theconcern of the state and the people. In this situation, it is necessary to combine theory withpractice and choose appropriate ticket sales organization model in order to optimize the ticketorganization of station and fully develop the potential of the ticket organization work.Based on the present situation of Harbin railway station on the passenger survey ticket, this thesis analyses queue system characteristic. And then, based on the operational researchand computer simulation method, the thesis focuses on relationship of the number of ticketwindows and the average queue time of passengers during two different peak periods. Themain content of this research works are as follows:1. This thesis first analyzes the actual ticket selling organization condition of both Chinaand foreign railway station and the computer simulation method applied in the queue system. This thesis puts forward the simulation method which based on queuing theory to optimizerailway station resources according to the passenger flow.2. According to the investigation and analysis of the present situation of passenger flowconditions in Harbin railway station, this thesis combines the characteristics of railwaypassenger flow with the actual arrival of passengers to determine the system as M/M/C/∞/∞/FCFS stochastic service system. Under comprehensive consideration of the average arrival rate, average service rate, service intensity, the biggest capacity of each ticket office, and other relative factors, this thesis takes the queuing time of passengers as optimizing goal.3. Based on the earlier optimization of railway station ticket organization, this thesisestablishes a simple mathematical model to locate ticket office in city in order to optimize theHarbin ticket office location settings and make up the insufficiency of station ticket windowin peak period. This thesis also explains the optimization of ticket selling window, optimization of ticketing services, optimization of the management, unified coordination atwork and strengthen information management. Harbin railway station can take correspondingmeasures to optimize ticket organization.4. This thesis develops a ticket sales organization application system for Harbin railwaystation, and researches the relationship between the number of ticket selling windows andqueuing time during two peak periods. Finally, with the computed results, this thesis showsthe ticket organization optimization scheme of Harbin railway station.Through the ticket organization system development, this thesis determines the time andnumber of ticket selling windows according to different numbers of passengers. The resultsshow that it can optimize the allocation of resources, and at the same time, improve theservice quality of the ticket.
