The Construction And Research On Printing Digital Asset Management System

With the deepening of printing industry in digital innovation, digital assetmanagement technology has become to the key point in managing large amount ofprinting digital documents and the DAMS has also become to the hot spot in printingindustry. Meanwhile, with the application of network printing solution increasing,the DAMS can not only solve the management problem of digital documents, butalso provide data support to the new value-added service. Therefore, this articletakes building print digital asset management system as the target and studies thefollowing:1. Analysing the print production and sales model, establishingthe printing digital asset value-added model and taking it as the basis for theestablishment of printing digital asset management system structure.2. Studying and constituting the design plan of printing digital asset system indetails. Analysing the funcitional requirements of the client side and thebrowser side and establishing their user-case model with UML language. Meanwhile,completing the design plan of the database based on the three-tier design patterns.3. Studying the core technologies of the printing digital asset managementsystem which including the cataloging technology, storaging technology andretrieval technology of the digital asset. It provided a theoretical model tothe system development.4. Based on the first three researching, constructing the digital asset managementsystem with the java language and SQL Sever2008database.The innovations of this paper are reflected in:1. Combined with the practical operation model of the printing business, proposingprinting digital asset value-added model for the first time.2. With the B/S architecture, combining the printing digital asset managementsystem and the network printing solution.3. Based on DC metadata, creating the metadata of printing digital asset for the firsttime.The research contributed to the application of the printing digital assetmanagement system in the industry and promoted the transformationfrom traditional print to digital print, had a certain value.
