Research On The Copyright Protection Of Digital Media Content

Digital media means digitized content (text, graphics, audio, and video) that can be transmitted over internet or computer networks. Copyright protection of digital media content is an indispensable and important part of the whole process of digital media communication.The method of digital media copyright protection ensures that owners can keep control of their files, even the files are not in local computer. Control means the definition, management and tracking of the operating authority of digital information. Digital media copyright protection system is mainly used to protect digital copyright, and it can also protect privacy files in local computer. This paper studies the key technologies of digital media copyright protection including usage control, diffusion control, rights management and encryption algorithms. A digital media file security protection solution is formed and implemented to prevent the illegal use and dissemination of digital media content so that it can protect confidential digital information and digital media intellectual property.In this paper, some theories and technologies are briefly analyzed, including usage control, diffusion control, rights management and encryption algorithms, and then the file binding technology, process hiding technology, file filter driver, rights management, AES encryption algorithm and RC4encryption algorithm are discussed and related improvement methods are proposed. Based on the above methods, we design a key sulotion of usage control, a set of processing program using file filter driver technology, a new extension rights object model and an improved algorithm of RC4. Combined with the above technologies, a new digital media copyright protection system is architected and realized. The system is mainly used to prevent the media files from being illegal accessed in the process of production and transmission, which is divided into server end and client end. The server end consists of web and authorization server, the former managing the user accounts and the latter managing the permissions of media files. Real-time and non real-time encyption are used to ensure the security and convenience of different kinds of media files in transmission. In the client end, there is a binding file which can be self-extracted. The controlling program in the unbindng files can monitor the user's operations. The system can protect the digital media files without considering file format. Meanwhile,. plaintext in local computer can be protected by file filter driver technolegy including filtering the requests of operation, marking on the file header and creating double caches.Finally, the summary of the paper mentions the value of the research, the points the system needs to be improved and the prospect of future work.
