Cooperation is a kind of the most significant characteristics of combat behaviors. Therefore, cooperative behavior modeling technology seizes remarkable position in human behavior modeling technologies of Computer Generated Forces (CGF). The cooperative behavior model will impact the validity of human behavior representing and the credibility of combat simulation results. Although, cooperative behavior modeling theories and methodologies have made prominent progress and brought a number of practical architectures for modeling cooperative behavior, existing cooperative behavior models still lack adaptability in combat environment. This paper employs negotiation behavior modeling research to deal with this problem.Firstly, this paper has designed the negotiation behavior architecture. This paper points out the shortages of existing cooperative behavior architectures, based on the analysis of cooperative behavior in real combat environment, and then raise the research of negotiation behavior accordingly. The negotiation behavior architecture is the foundation of negotiation behavior model. The CGF negotiation behavior architecture designed here, which mainly includes negotiation protocol and negotiation processing, is based on the research both of combat negotiation behavior and negotiation theory oriented in Agent research.Negotiation protocol, a set of rules restraining the negotiation behavior, is consisted of negotiation language, negotiation states, negotiation members and negotiation sequence. Incorporating the study of Agent based communication language and organization models, a KQML based negotiation language and a method to confirm the negotiation members and negotiation sequence restrained by organization model are presented. Negotiation processing part is to model the inference and decision-making behaviors of negotiation members. Conflict detection and negotiation inference are mainly discussed in this part. Based on the study of cooperative behavior modeling theories, a Joint Intention theory based conflict detection mechanism is designed, which can be used universally. Due to the non-monotonous characteristic of inference procedure during negotiation, the CGF negotiation inference mechanism is formally described based on the analysis of former study of non-monotonic reasoning. At the end of this paper, incorporating the model theories discussed previously and considering the application background, a CGF negotiation model is preliminarily developed. This paper has designed an experiment system to test the CGF negotiation model and the result has proved the availability of the model.
