Food industry is an old industry, but it is essential for our life. Along with social development, food industry is full with new life vitality. Now many various organizations of the food industry have appeared in modern society. Such as, chain shop, take-out restaurant, and so on. Electronic commerce injects new vitality into the Food industry.Android is an open-source mobile phone operating system which is released by Google Corporation. In this paper, we bring up a wireless order system based on Android by our research. The system requirement analysis is made according to the software engineering development methods. The main function includes user permission authentication, the register user ordering food and so on. First, the overall function and each module are designed. And then a model of the system is made by UML, including case diagram, class diagram, and sequence diagram.The system includes client and server side. The client uses Android platform, java language, could be running in the dalvik virtual machine which is specially optimized for mobile phones. The server uses servlet to response client requests, JDBC to access the database. The data exchange between client and server is XML data. At last of this paper, some key codes of the system are also given.The system can be used by hotel, take-out restaurant. People can download the client into their android mobile and make a wireless order. The system is not only can provide delicious specialty food, but also can provide diet knowledge. With this system, restaurants can manage business more convenience and flexibility, and in certain meaning it also can increase its customer population.
