Android Linux-based operating system is a technology platform introduced during last couple of years. Because of Linux-based Android operating system is a standardized set of open-source phone operating system, it has a strong versatility and connectivity, and there is no patent obstacles hinder the mobile industry by excluding innovation any longer, so it is generally welcomed by the cell phone manufacturers and telecom companies. With its system flexibility, openness, and the concept of open Internet, Android will occupy a bigger advantage from the competition of mobile platforms in the future.This paper founded at Linux-based Android OS, with the purpose of scalable platform to meet a variety of network formats to build a smart phone platform called HPhone, which can support TD/CDMA/GSM. Paper first outlines the current smart phone market, Android's basic concepts and architecture. Then introduced the Android platform in the structures involved in the development of important technical and functional components:Kernel driver, application component (Activity, Intent, Content Provider, Notifications), AIDL achieve and JNI (Java Native Interface).Then proposed a smart phone platform building plan:1) smart phone software platform HPhone's hierarchy was introduced; 2) HPhone's key technologies are described in detail and put forward a concrete realization of the program, including the AT command set and expansion, API standard interface implementation strategy, dual card dual standby smart phone switch machine control, serial data transmission, PPP dialing to achieve, and voice services and SMS services implementation. Then tells the process how to implement this platform and gives a product's functional specifications. Finally, this paper makes a conclusion.In the specific process of building this platform, a variety of optimal design techniques are used:1) In order to support different formats of wireless features fast implementation, developed optimized AT command set, this makes HPhone platform advanced than other platforms in the AT command supporting.2) For the normal installation and use of Android apps downloaded from network,, HPhone use smart design of the API interface strategy, application development for the screening of different formats to achieve the different details, using the same set of interface to achieve different standards phone, SMS, dial-up function.3) In order to stabilize the transmission of serial data, HPhone platform innovatively designs a simple algorithm, without increasing the system load and ensure the stability of data transmission.By the design and development of this HPhone which is Android-based smart phone platform, innovatively implemented a smart platform based on open standard to support dual-network with dual-standby and single-network with single-standby under different network types. The intelligent platform's development, finish the history that there is no smart phones platforms in China and smart phone platforms need to pay for the production of foreign licensing fees. Based on HPhone platform, according to market demand, companies can develop terminal products in a relatively short period, with relatively few human resources, so that can satisfy market demand with stability mobile devices, and occupy the smart phone market.This smart phone platform can meet telecom companies'various wireless business requirements, as well as the senior customer's demand of smart mobile devices, and eventually fill the current market blank of Linux-based multimedia smart handsets and terminals, give contribution to China mobile communication industry.
