Virtual space environment technology is a cognitive technology, as technology continues to progress, constantly on the way to challenge traditional cognitive changes the way access to geographical data and proposed a new expression of the geographical environment, Its scientific and technological progress and human development of social and economic impact is obvious, therefore, the virtual space environment for the research is of great significance.In this paper, build a virtual space environment simulation on the basis of infrared imaging to large-scale organization of scene data, large-scale simulation scenarios visual and infrared imaging to study the main line. This paper is divided into the following sections:Firstly, In this paper, virtual geographic environments and virtual reality technology as the focus, summarized the current research progress in related fields, combined with the concept of digital elevation models, for the three-dimensional virtual space scene terrain modeling, texture mapping and the construction of virtual space scene coordinate system transformation in-depth analysis, this paper constructed the basic framework of the virtual space environment.Secondly, This paper studies the large-scale spatial organization of three-dimensional scene. Then the pyramid scene indexing mechanism + sub scene regular dividing quad-tree data indexing mechanism organize the large-scale scenes together, The indexing mechanism can effectively reduce the memory calls, improve the efficiency of data search.Thirdly, This paper studies the problem of mass scene visualization and pre-processed the massive data. Based on the relative algorithms, this paper designed a fast terrain-algorithm including the new easy algorithm on quad generating, the texture automatic piecemeal, the terrain database saves, view-culling, error-control and crack elimination.Fourthly, This paper designed a algorithm to calculate the simulation images of natural terrains. In my research, We build a model of IR feature, the mode was established by using the principle of heart transfer .In this paper, the sun radiation is obtained by calculating the complex terrain shielding condition to the sun radiation with the Monte-Carlo method. The more realistic infrared image of the complex terrain surface is obtained.Fifthly, In this paper, adopting VC++ and OpenGL technology to build real-time imaging simulation platform. The platform finished the spatial query and virtual imaging function. Combined with the orthogonal projection and perspective projection design models ,it is used to livingly express design results.Finally, the work of this paper are summarized. Proposed a corresponding improvement.
