Research Of Manufacturing Feature Extraction And Process Planning On 3d CAPP

As a platform for process design, the mode of CAPP system has tended to be 3D CAPP. The key points of applying 3D CAPP focus on how to identify model information and automatic process planning. The main content of this thesis is extraction of manufacturing feature, process planning, and design of manufacturing resource library.Aiming to the character of models, this thesis analyzes the application of feature technology, and puts forward an idea of layering for model information to three layers: general information layer, feature layers, surface feature of layer. This thesis also presents a method of extracting manufacturing feature based on surface of feature layer and implements this method under the environment of UG.Aiming to the resource environment of process planning, this thesis also studies method of process automation, and designs content of process knowledge library and feature process segment. The method of restoring data in manufacturing resource library and the relationship among various resources are researched.Aiming to the present situation of process planning by CAPP system, this thesis provides ways to deal with manufacturing information and to define parameters and workflows, giving a group of procedure facilities of automotive process planning.A selection of important problems are discussed during the course of function development, such as building an object-oriented data structure which improves the commonality of data, and researching parametric method in process planning which results in a method of transporting data.The relevant research results of this thesis have been used in KMCAPP.
