Intelligent release not only has all protection function of the traditional release, but also has display, set and modify various parameters of the circuit charged and expands measurement, control, alarms, data memory and transfer functions, CAN bus technology is used in the design of intelligent release, can achieve a good function of PC and slave communication, so its performance is much better than the traditional conventional circuit breaker.In this paper, Single Chip Microcomputer (SCM) LPC2294 based on PHILIPS ARM7TDMI-S core is used as microcontroller and the open-soure embedded real-time mutli-taskμC/OSⅡis used as the controller operating system.The electrical signals are acquired by hardware circuit, analog-digital conversion is done by SCM's A/D, sampling interrupt is provided by PLL multiplier circuit. Then through a design of a certain algorithm program to process the power signal. Though this design we can learn the real-time network conditions, when the power generation failure, according to the set of operating characteristics to achieve release breaking, protecting the entire network.Hardware design includes the LPC2294's external circuit, the signal acquisition circuit, PLL multiplier circuit, release circuit and CAN Intelligent Node. LPC2294's external circuit which includes reset circuit, crystal oscillator circuit, debug circuit, LCD, LED, keyboard and so on in order to ensure normal work of the control core.Software part's compiled debug and run is under the environment of ADS1.2. It mainly includes the A / D conversion program, CAN lower computer node's initialization, sending and receiving of data and error handling programs and three sections saver program.By USBCAN card, the host computer was designed as a CAN intelligent node, through the configuration interface design, the real-time electrical signals which is sended by lower computer can be displayed and also the parameter instruction can be sent down to lower computer.The final experimental results show, via CAN-bus technology to the design of intelligent circuit breakers, circuit breaker can achieve good communication requirements.
