INBA granulates slag treatment is a new type of blast furnace cinder treatment. Itis imported from Luxembourg's Paul Wurth (PW) Group. This treatment is able torecycle the slag and convert blast furnace slag to high-grade cement raw material. Thisnew technology of granulated slag treatment brings benefits for the economy, thesociety, and the environment.This paper conducts an in-depth analysis on several slag treatment methods thatare commonly used for large blast furnaces both at home and abroad. After comparingthe new and old INBA process, and taking into consideration of the current state ofLaiGang's TYNA process, we conclude that the environment friendly INBA granulatedslag treatment is an advanced, reliable method for slag treatment. It enables the blastfurnace to meet the harmless and cleaner emission standard, and is highly suitable forthe3200m3blast furnace. This paper starts with a description of the3200m3blastfurnace slag processing technology and equipment, then goes on to introduce theprocess, features and functions of the new INBA automatic control system. The paperthen describes the advantages of the new INBA process. The paper then provides ananalysis of the feasibility of the system and the design method.According to the environmental characteristics of INBA system, this system usesthe PLC technology to achieve automatic control of the system, and designs thehardware and software configurations of the control system, the system program andinterface are designed and realized. Based on the observation and analysis ofenvironmental protection INBA system and combining with the fact of Laigang, thistopic reforms and designs the interlock control of system program, the main equipment dehydration drum and cooling pump, it makes the system more stable. This topicfocuses on improving the technology of INBA system and divides the system into beltautomatic and INBA main circulation automatic to avoid the situation of drum stopcaused by the belt fault; it also makes the condensation system control alone, and themethod presented in this paper doesn't affect the operation of the INBA Lord cycle. Itrealizes "one click" control of the belt, INBA lord circulation and condensation system.Another key technology analyzed the reason which the torque and the current is highwhen the equipment is working. According to the long time observation statistics, theactual accordant with the speed and torque of function curve are found out to increaseupper limit value of the torque. The precise speed control of the drum is realized, andthe quality of the water residue is also improved, so it reduces slag flow calculationerror, and provides reliable data for the blast furnace foreman. Automatic speedregulation of frequency conversion cooling pump is achieved by using PID regulatortechnology.The steam condensate recovery process used in this project solves a large quantityhazardous steam by punching slag on environment, and the environmental load hasbeen greatly improved, and it plays an important role in protecting the environment andsaving energy by using the recycle of the particles of water and steam condensate andreduce the tons of molten iron consumption.By using automation instrumentation, converter, encoder, and the PLC, the NewINBA slag processing system achieves 'one click' automatic slag and the best controlresults of the INBA system, it reduces the labor intensity and security risks andimproves water slag blowing rate. It also summarizes and analyzes the actual problemsin the production, and has important directive to production practices.
