In recent years, intranet has become an important part of modern secondaryeducational infrastructure. The continuous growth of the technical secondary schoolshas required the development and modernization of the educational infrastructure. Thenew digitalized teaching environment has provided a platform for distant education;online evaluation, remote control and other internet based educational programs.Intranet has become a main tool to facilitate the daily educational activities for both theteaching staff and students. Nowadays, the wide usage of the laptops, smart phonesand electronic pads has created high demand for wireless internet and Wi-Fi connectionwithin the campus. It is imperative for the technical secondary schools to meet thesedemands and provide wireless internet connection on campus to overcome thelimitation of the traditional cable intranet.Today there are a variety of technologies offering the wireless internet connection.Along the years, the standards have risen while the methods increased. For thetechnical secondary schools, rather than purely pursuing the latest technology, schoolsshould make careful decisions based on individual cases and practical situations.This thesis has introduced the history and features of the wireless internet, anddescribed the structure and criteria of the Fit AP model. The author has focused on themodel Fit AP and studied its structure, security system and user ID verification system,which he has compared with other security systems and verification systems andidentified a few issues. As a result, the author has concluded the thesis with a newsecurity strategy. Based on a case study of a technical secondary school's wirelessset-up, the thesis has presented the whole process of the building of a campus wirelessconnection, from the design, the draft, the modeling to the final installation.This thesis has also introduced the concepts of wireless connecting points, thewireless terminal set-up, and the seamless roaming of3rd levels. The realization ofthe3rd level roaming will reduce the burden of the current campus internetinfrastructure, test the terminal signal function, and eventually achieve the totalcoverage of the campus with effective network management and secure firewall system.The final goal of the setup of the campus wireless connection is to combine iteffectively with the traditional cable intranet, provide the schools with a securer, more efficient and more reliable network which enhances the online platform for moderneducation.
