The campus computer network construction is a very important project for HebeiTechnical College of Petroleum Profession to enhance its overall strength one morestep ahead. It is also an important component to carry out the construction ofcomputer network practical training base for the college. In the light of the theoreticalresearch in combination with practice by the college leaders, the research topic – thecampus network construction of Hebei Technical College of Petroleum Profession hasbeen undertaken.The design objective of the campus computer network is to construct campusIntranet for the information acquisition, mutual resource sharing, teachingmanagement and international network interconnection, and to carry out informationexchange and communication on and off campus by Internet. The campus computernetwork system is also an infrastructure construction of the college, creating afavorable environment to improve the level of teaching and scientific research,providing a good platform of application, development and research. In conclusion,it's a vital project of the new century.Therefore, in the course of the campus network design, we combine the users'demand, network technology and design principles, attaching great importance to thechange of application, the need for multimedia, the arising of new network backbonetechnology, main route, reliability and safety, the application of simulation networktechnology, and network management. We have adopted a wide range ofnewly-emerging network patterns such as 3-layer exchanging, VLAN, fiber-opticmainline, ultra-5 wiring, wireless bridge network connection and have established thecampus network as the practical training base of college computer network in the realsense.
